Two New Online Trainings Launching in August

NEW YORK – August 2020  As we continue to navigate a new normal in this time of uncertainty, we at Seleni are committed and focused on continuing our work to support the mental health needs of our community.

We are excited to announce that we will be launching two new online trainings at the end of August: Maternal Mental Health Intensive PMADs: Young Parents (MMHI4Teens PMADs) and The COVID-19 Pandemic, Trauma and Grief.

Many people are facing increased challenges to their emotional well-being as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to reverberate worldwide. It has also caused a disproportionate lack of access to resources for those who are part of our most vulnerable communities.

Methods by which we manage grief and loss have been upended with the spread of the pandemic. Our new Trauma and Grief Training explores the grieving process specifically in the context of COVID-19 while our MMHI4Teens Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) training stems from our original MMHI program with a specific focus on supporting teen mothers and teen mothers-to-be.

These courses are CE-accredited for NY social workers and counselors. As always, supporting the emotional health of mothers and families is more important than ever and a priority for Seleni. Thank you for supporting our mission.
