The Seleni Institute Announces New Clinical Director

Christiane Manzella, PhD, FT, will serve as the new clinical director

Christiane Manzella, PhD, FT, will serve as the new clinical director of the Seleni Institute, having previously served as the supervision director and senior psychologist. 

“We are thrilled Dr. Manzella has assumed her new role as clinical director at Seleni,” said Nitzia Logothetis, founder and executive chairwoman of the Seleni Institute. “With her strong interest in both women’s mental health and grief and bereavement, she is a leader in her field and a mentor to all of us.”

Dr. Manzella comes to Seleni with extensive experience as a clinician, administrator and professor of psychology. She earned both her master’s degree in clinical psychology and doctorate in counseling psychology from New York University and maintained a private practice in New York City for more than 20 years, where she provided therapy and supervision in a number of areas, including grief and bereavement, her specialty.

“The Seleni Institute is nationally known for its collaborative, evidenced-based care, and I am honored to be part of a team that has the utmost respect and compassion for patients,” said Dr. Manzella, responding to the announcement of her appointment. “I am honored to join the Seleni team as clinical director and to work with such intelligent, compassionate colleagues as we help women and families.”
